In this tutorial, we will show you how to install MakeMKV on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. For those of you who didn’t know, MakeMKV is a popular software for creating high-quality video files from your DVD and Blu-ray discs. It is open-source software that can be installed on various operating systems, including Ubuntu. The software supports various input formats, including DVD, Blu-ray, and ISO files, and outputs files in the MKV format. In addition, MakeMKV offers the ability to preserve all audio and subtitle tracks from the original source, making it an ideal solution for users who want to keep all audio and subtitle tracks in the final file.
This article assumes you have at least basic knowledge of Linux, know how to use the shell, and most importantly, you host your site on your own VPS. The installation is quite simple and assumes you are running in the root account, if not you may need to add ‘sudo
