In this tutorial, we will show you how to install Ajenti Control Panel on Ubuntu 14.04. For those of you who didn’t know, Ajenti is a simple and easy-to-use admin panel that can be used to manage server tasks from any web browser a bit similar to the Webmin module. Install Ajenti Control Panel on Ubuntu 14.04
Step 1. First, you need to add the Ajenti repository and its key.
wget http://repo.ajenti.org/debian/key -O- | sudo apt-key add - echo "deb http://repo.ajenti.org/debian main main debian" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
Step 2. Install Ajenti Control Panel on Ubuntu.
Now we run the following command below to install Anjeti on your Ubuntu system:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install ajenti
Step 3. Start the Ajenti service.
Restart Ajenti daemon with the following command:
sudo service ajenti restart
Step 4. Access Ajenti Control Panel.
After installing the Ajenti control panel will be available on HTTPS port 8000 by default. Open your favorite browser and navigate to
https://server-ip:8000 and enter the default username “admin” or “root” and the password is “admin“. If you are using a firewall, please open port 8000 to enable access to the control panel.
