How To Install Kotlin Programming Language on Debian 10

In this tutorial, we will show you how to install Kotlin Programming Language on Debian 10. For those of you who didn’t know, Kotlin is a free and open-source statically-typed programming language. Install Kotlin Programming Language on Debian 10 Buster

Step 1. Before running the tutorial below, it’s important to make sure your system is up to date by running the following apt commands in the terminal:

sudo apt update

Step 2. Installing Kotlin Programming Language on Debian 10.

• Install Kotlin using Snap.

sudo apt install snapd
sudo snap install core
sudo snap install kotlin --classic

• Install Kotlin using SDKMAN.

Now we run the following command to install SDK:

vi sdk.install.sh
bash sdk.install.sh

Checking Kotlin version installed:

Step 3. Write Kotlin with Hello World Program.

First, create a file called hello.kt:
