sudo‘ to the commands to get root privileges. I will show you through the step-by-step installation of the PyCharm CE on a Manjaro 20 (Nibia).
Install PyCharm on Manjaro 20 Nibia
Step 1. Before running the tutorial below, make sure that our system is up to date:
sudo pacman -Syu
Step 2. Enable snapd on Manjaro system.
Now run the following command below to install Snap packages:
sudo pacman -S snapd sudo systemctl enable --now snapd.socket sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap
Step 3. Installing PyCharm on Manjaro 20.
To install PyCharm CE, simply use the following command:
sudo snap install pycharm-community --classic
Step 4. Accessing PyCharm on Manjaro.
Once PyCharm successfully installed on your Manjaro system, Now you can go to the Application Menu and look for PyCharm there. You should see the PyCharm Code icon as marked in the screenshot below:
