In this tutorial, we will show you how to install Java on Manjaro 20. For those of you who didn’t know, Java is a very popular language when it comes to programming. Prerequisites

non-root sudo useror access to theroot user. We recommend acting as anon-root sudo user, however, as you can harm your system if you’re not careful when acting as the root.
Install Java on Manjaro 20 Nibia
Step 1. Before running the tutorial below, make sure that our system is up to date:
sudo pacman -Syu
Step 2. Installing Java on Manjaro 20.
- To install the latest version of JRE, run the following command:
sudo pacman -S jre-openjdk
- To install the latest version of JDK, run the following command:
sudo pacman -S jdk-openjdk
You can check what Java version is currently used in your Manjaro system using the below command:
java --version
