Prerequisites

Step 1. First, make sure that all your system packages are up-to-date by running the following apt-get
commands in the terminal.
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade
Step 2. Installing Git on Ubuntu 15.04
Now run the following commands below to install Git packages to your Ubuntu system:
sudo apt-get install git-core
Step 3. Check the Git version on Ubuntu.
Once successfully the installation process finishes, verify the git version by running the following command:
