In this tutorial, we will show you how to install MyPaint on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. For those of you who didn’t know, MyPaint is a free, open-source graphics application designed specifically for digital painting and drawing. It offers a variety of brushes and tools to create complex designs and illustrations, and it’s known for its user-friendly interface and customizable features. MyPaint was initially developed for Linux, but it’s now available for Windows and macOS as well. It’s particularly popular among artists and illustrators who work with graphic tablets or styluses, as it offers advanced pressure sensitivity and stroke smoothing features.
This article assumes you have at least basic knowledge of Linux, know how to use the shell, and most importantly, you host your site on your own VPS. The installation is quite simple and assumes you are running in the root account, if not you may need to add ‘sudo
